ADS MMI Settings

I am in the market for a Q5 TDI Prestige. I've come across several listed as having the adaptive suspension option. According to the ordering guides from 2014-2016, this was a stand-alone option. After getting pictures of the MMI screens in ADS, under Set Individual, I see no suspension option listed. Curiously, a build sheet for one vehicle, that I received from Audi USA, has it listed as optioned. Is the dynamic suspension not an adjustable option, or is the build sheet wrong? Thanks.

Is it a list of PR codes for your VIN? Post the list. The suspension code will be 1B_ or 2M_ usually.

Those caps might look great on your phone, but they are completely unreadable as 508x1242 images which the forum saves them as.

But 1BA says what you need to know. Standard steel springs non-adjusting dampers suspension.

For US B8 Q5 quattro, there's four options of relevance:
1BA - standard
1BV - sport
1BL - adaptive
2MT - S sport (SQ5)

I noticed that after I posted them. Thanks for the info. Much appreciated. I wasn't aware there were three different codes. In regards to the MMI, there are a total of four possible dynamic selections correct? It would read:

Engine/Transmission
Steering
ACC
Suspension

If my research is correct, variable dynamic steering and ACC require the drivers assistance package for 2014-2016. Dynamic handling, for 2014, requires the S Line Plus package. MY's 2015-2016 offered it as a stand-alone option.

In regards to Audi Drive Select (ADS, though ADS also is used for other references, such as adaptive damping suspension and Audi dynamic steering), whatever menu actions have been enabled in the coding of the Charisma configuration in the J519 control module is what will be enabled. If you have MMI, then there's the additional individual configuration, as well as the option to access the selections via the menu system as well as the dash button. For MMI, there's additional Charisma configuration in the green menu. (again, none of that should need to be manipulated on a stock vehicle).

As to what ADS can modify, from the Audi SSP on the B8 Q5:

The first two are nothing more than the same as changing the shifter between D and S.
All US come with Servotronic, so that's always relevant.
The last three require the actual system to be equipped, dynamic steering, adaptive dampers, and sport rear diff.

ACC is in ADS for B9. If they added it in B8.5, ok (Audi doesn't do SSPs for product improvement refreshes, only new generation releases).
