No power post P2099 diverter valve replacement

2008 A4 2.0 high mileage at almost 200k, wife was driving it and said it felt super sluggish. Engine light came on and it was the p2099 code. I just replaced the DV with a new one and took it for a drive, but it still feels super sluggish. Like the turbo isn’t generating any boost. Can’t imagine there would be anything I have to reset, I already cleared the code. Not CEL yet, but piss poor fuel economy on my test drive. Computer said about 16mpg. My next thought is the turbo is dead. Anything small to check first?

    TIA

Check your measuring blocks to see if actual boost meets requested boost. I had a similar lacking power issues which turned out to be carboned intake valve stems. A walnut shell cleaning resolved that issue.

I’ll check that, and it’s possible. I’m not sure when they were last cleaned. But seeing as it went from running fine and basically light switched to no power and the P2099 code, I’m leaning towards it’s not the valves (as at least the main issue).

It is also not uncommon for the N75 itself to go bad. The resistance changes and result is often boost limited to 3-5 psi range.

If you search the site, you can find 'good' resistance values here somewhere

N75 resistance should be 24.5-25ohms, between pins.
