    Oil leak

My 07 A4 has been leaking oil. I was told by a rather unreliable source that it is either a hose or clamp that “comes off of the oil cooler” . I was also provided this picture of where the oil is dripping from. Any help that I can get with identifying which hose/clamp I might need to change would be super helpful!

This part of the forum is for the A4 B5 produced from 1996-2001. Your car is a B7 produced from 2006-2008. That being said it looks like that is coolant that is leaking out of the oil cooler. You can use a worm style hose clamp and see if that will help the coolant leak. Use a pair of pliers to open the clamp currently on the hose and slide it back. Open the worm gear clamp all the way and wrap it around the hose and close it up. Hopefully that will solve your issue if the leak is between the cooler and hose. If there is a hole in the hose, you will need a new hose or if it’s close enough to the end, cut the end off, shove the hose on further and move the clamp on to the end. Depends on how much slack there is in the hose.

That hose moves coolant, not oil. The oil moves between the flat back side of the oil cooler and the oil filter housing.

Back side of oil cooler. Oil flows through the BOTTOM 2 holes in this photo:

The upper hole and the hose connection are where the coolant flows.

This is the gasket that seals this back side:

    This video shows the repair.
