    Brake recommendations for S3

Coming up on a front brake job and flush. Think I’m going to DIY this project but I can’t decide which parts. I enjoyed the stock brakes but I wouldn’t mind something a bit more aggressive. I thought about doing blank OEM rotors and aftermarket pads. Something between performance and reliability.

My commute is a short blast up the highway; but can also deal with lots of hard/sudden braking. No track days or autoX. Brake dust isn’t a huge concern, I clean the wheels regardless. Wouldn’t mind slotted rotors, but not a huge concern on the look.

    Give me your recommendations!

StopTech sport pads are a great option that I highly recommend. Any decent rotor is fine. Ate, Zimmermann, StopTech, Centric, Brembo, etc.

+2 on Porterfields being great pads. Akebono are also excellent. Heck, Autozone Ceramic pads aren't bad for a street car.

If your brakes don't feel like they are grabbing early/well enough, make sure your brake fluid is fresh and properly bled and your lines are in excellent condition. It might not be the pads.
