You need a wireless module. I ordered one off Amazon and returned it a week later. Was slow to initiate....

I use AA Wireless on my '19 A6. Works great. I think they have an e-site now for ordering.

Have the carlink brand from Amazon with iPhone. Works ok when I use it, I’m stupid enough to just leave a phone in the car all the time on a data only Google Fi sim. I don’t do phone calls often so don’t know how well the wireless dongles work for that.

I apologize. I missed that you are Carplay. The Ottocast seems to work for both formats but I'm not familiar with it enough to comment.

I’ve been tempted to get one. I have a 17 A6 so no wireless charging or Apple Car Play but for short trips around town I don’t need to charge. Might be worth $100.

I have Carlinkit3.0 and its not flawless, sometimes it sits and wants to "Load" Siriusxm and it wont load. Have to unplug and replug for it to work. For me its a 3 star out of 5. It does have the latest update. Its an "ok" way to get wireless carplay. None of these types of accessories are that great.....but if you HAVE to have wireless, than this is the way to go.
