B5 S4 Turbo Oil Return Port Popped Out

Removed the oil return line from the driver side turbo and everything went well. Attempted to remove the passenger side and pulled the cap out of the port with it (pictured below).

I've read a few threads that mentioned using some type of epoxy as a sealant and pressing it back in. Is this the best idea? If so, does anyone know what epoxy or adhesive to use?

I wish there were replacement caps to press in. I can't find them anywhere.

Sounds good. What sealant would you recommend?

Wanna say I used aerobatic sealant like used on compressor housings…if not I used Dirko HT.

That surface looks a little rough for anaerobic sealant. I used that on my compressor housings as well, but those are nice machined surfaces. It may be ok here too if OP cleaned up the insert and bore in the pan.

Honestly can’t remember so maybe I’m wrong and didn’t use it… but I know I definitely spent some time cleaning them. There was like a plastic like coating on them that was starting to chip so I fully cleaned/removed that.

Thank you both for the feedback. I'm trying to purchase the Dirko sealant from FCPEuro. My cart is filled with parts I need and one of these will put me over $50 so I get free shipping lol. Will either of these work? One is Dirko HT and the other is Dirko Black.

I would think either would be ok. I used the HT (red) as my oil pan gasket maker and it's been perfectly fine. I also use it for VCGs and anything someone would use RTV for.

Ok great. I went ahead and grabbed the HT Grey since it's the highest temp rating. I need to swap driver and passenger valve covers. Got a set of Elring valve cover gaskets and this stuff will assist with that job too. Thanks!

Just realized I didn't buy a second drain flange. So... the 22mm drain flange works on the driver side with the cap (sleeve) still installed. I measured the passenger side drain flange port with no cap (sleeve) and got 24mm. Does this mean I could use the 24mm drain flange below in that port or do I need to reinstall the sleeve for proper operation and buy a 22mm drain flange?

Thank you for this info. Doesn't quite answer my question above but helps as far as sleeve install goes. I'm going to proceed with reinstalling the cap and grabbing a 22mm drain flange from 034. These flanges are more of a permanent option compared to stock drain lines.
