Happy New Year and best wishes for 2023
After doing my outer cv boot I’m getting clucking noise when braking and only when the car is cold. I checked all suspension parts and beaks. Everything is tight. Any ideas?
Also I’m confused about fuel pump. Online research indicates the RS4 a fuel pump basket and pump is different from the S4. I see 034 Motorsport sells an adapter for new and smaller AEM/Walbro FP. Does that adapter work for the RS4 basket?
The car runs fine but FPS don’t last forever.

Maybe the CVs werent put back together correctly and is causing the noise?

Not sure if the baskets are different but the FP adapter isn’t really needed. Some large Orings around the pump is all that’s needed to keep it snuggly is place.

Thanks for you reply. I checked the joint and regreased it. Noise is not related to steering or drive. Only the first 3m or 4 brake applications.
I’ve replaced all front suspension components.

I’ll pull the tank unit to see what I’m dealing with.

Update. The braking noise is gone in the warm/hot weather. I think it’s coming from
    The PU bushings.
I decided the leave the fuel system alone after changing the filter and perished rubber hoses.
Had a boost leak from the left intercooler hose. Just snugged up the hose bands.
The PS fluid was leaking from the lower hose clamp. Amazingly messy job.
Finally I replaced the headliner with a very nice alcantara since the rear sunroof drains were plugged and leaking onto the rear floors. I screwed up by cutting the sunroof opening a bit too small in places. So I used some black ribbon to mask it. Looks pretty good.
This car is brutally fast with the MTM ECU. The PU front lower control arm bushings stiffen the front but not too much.
Using the outer control arm hole give it stances. Just need to repaint the hood and address the shrunken leather door card inserts.
