I got a flat bottom steering wheel with paddle shifters — can I remove them?

My buddy with a b8.5 automatic gave me his flat bottom steering wheel. I have a b8 manual. Can the shifters be removed and coded out?

If so how? Do you just unscrew it?

Look for a thread about adding paddles, then do the reverse for the coding. I think there will be a Tiptronic bit in the coding of the 16-steering wheel electrics that you'll look to turn off.
They are just bolted in, https://audi.7zap.com/en/usa/audi+a5.../4/419-419010/

    Ahhhh thanks!

So the next question is if there are fillers for the back?

Someone told me that if I wanted to do this, it's prob better if I just trade someone or sell it and buy a flat non paddle one.

You'd have to make your own. Audi only builds the wheels two ways, those with no provision for paddles and those with paddles. They don't use one wheel with fillers or paddles.
