    Polishing/Compounding Audi SQ5

    Hello,

I’m looking to polish/paint correct my SQ5 soon and wondering what others have been successful with on our paint? I have the Meguiars M110 cut and m120 polish but wondering if there’s something like Carpro Essence. My paint is in good shape and I don’t feel I need the deep cutting. I just want something to remove light clear coat scratches and bring tons of gloss for my ceramic coating. Thanks for any help!

I was turned on to this a couple years ago, did an amazing job on my 18 SQ5 when I prepped before applying Adam’s Advanced Graphene coating

I used medium pad on my DA and you polish out until just a light haze left and buff with microfiber towel.

How’s the gloss finish with this being a heavy cut? Thanks

Jescar Medium or Menzerna 2400 will do what you want. I'd use them on an orange pad. Audi has a pretty hard paint from my experience and a medium polish with a medium duty pad will get the job done. Depending on your color, you'll need to do a polish stage no matter what.

I have a silver car which makes it hard to see the scratches either way. I mainly want to improve gloss, remove light swirl makes and prep for ceramic coating.

I was considering Car Pro Essence as an all in one I can coat over. Or I have the megiuar 105 compound and 205 polish.

I have Navarra blue and this brought out a deep high gloss like I have never seen with just a single polish.
I used this for the paint correction part of prepping my SQ5 to apply the Adam’s Polishes Graphene Ceramic coating.
Before I applied the coating I wipe panel down with diluted isopropyl alcohol. The shine is still great after 2 summers and 1 winter of regular driving
