RS6 Steering Wheel Swap

I was posting to see if anyone has installed a 2021ish RS6 steering wheel in their B9? My friend has a 2021 RS6, and is swapping his flat bottom, alcantara wheel for a carbon wheel.

I was mostly concerned because he will be keeping his steering wheel buttons so I would be using mine. Will there be any issues with the internal steering wheel wiring, and will the heated portion work for me considering on the RS6 it is turned on through the entertainment screen?

You need a new airbag if he’s not giving you that. It also needs to be modified to fit on this platform. The ones on Europrice have been modified to fit.

The airbag is the same since mine is a B9.5.

No, it won’t be plug and play. You’ll need to rewire it and the heating won’t work.

The airbag is not plug and play, it’s a different airbag, same shape but bigger.
