    Gear selector mechanism

    Hey guys,

So I'm into manual swapping my 3.0, and I'm on the hunt for the parts. Since in EU these engines are pretty rare not to mention the manual transmission it's not so easy to go a local pick and pull.

Already got the 02X GJV transmission, waiting for nice weather to go in the car.

Is there any difference between the 6 speed 02X gear selector mechanisms? I mean does the letter on the part number mean anything?
According to ETKA the correct part number is 8E0711055L. But I can't find that anywhere used. Can I use for example the 8E0711055R? According to ECSTuning the R is a newer revision for the L.

Thanks EuroxS4, I will get the R since I just found one.

And which rebuild kit should I buy for the R version?
8E0798151B (which goes for the B6) or 8E0798151C (which goes for the B7)? What is the difference between these kits?
