Anyone that has a B9 A5 having this same issue as mine? I purchased the car used and noticed all this white stuff in the vents. I tried scrubbing it with interior cleaner and scraping it with a plastic tool but it’s not getting rid of it. Not sure if this is an Audi problem or if the previous owner caused this?

Any idea what I could use to get rid of it that won’t damage the plastic?

Isopropyl alcohol is safe for most plastics

These may or may not be relevant for the OP's problem ...

As SHCKR mentioned above what does the cabin air filter look like? Can you use a mirror to look up inside the slot where the cabin filter is inserted (with the filter out)? Also, if you can remove the plastic panel under the hood that covers the fresh air intake, can you see any evidence of animal activity or foreign materials of any sort? It may require removing the wiper arms to get the panel out, but you may be able to look under the front edge of the panel to see if the water drains are clogged with debris or if the fresh air intake looks clean and debris-free.
