Has anyone with a B8 (and B&O audio) in here done audio upgrades?

I've maxed oout on outside mods - the 2012 B&O is so old. From Forum search I am seeing that its not possible to upgrade the head end unit since its got MMI integration. Are speaker upgrades the only option to "spruce up" my interior? LOVE my S4, she's just a little old school on the amenities. I appreciate any suggestions. Forum search ahs a ton of DIY - alas I am not that smart to DIY - will be an audio shop to do any work ....

Yes, DMP car design (out of Malaysia)
I have the B&O but the “cheap” MMI.
This upgraded me to a nice big touch screen, nav and Bluetooth/wireless carplay.
The only thing I need to add is a microphone for hands free talking, not sure why it wasn’t included.

The B&O system sucks. The speakers are actually made by a company called Faital and are very poor quality. The rear sub is pitiful.

The only contribution B&O made was to the amp software for the surround sound.

I’ve changed nearly everything in my car and it sounds so much better.

    Full list:

RSNav S3 10.25” Android Head Unit connected to the AMI via FiiO E10k USB DAC and NobSound Sound isolator

Pioneer Dual voice coil 4 ohm 10” rear sub wired in series to replace the factory sub on the rear deck

Audison AP8 speakers in the front doors

Audison AP65 speakers in the rear doors

Front dash and rear deck mids replaced with
Dayton RS75-4 and installed using harnesses and brackets from captain_video on here. 5 in total.

Final piece is a Musway D8 v2 DSP. I didn’t want to rip out the factory amp as I wanted to retain Bluetooth and other functionality routed through it. The Musway is oem + and connects to the oem amp via a wiring harness. No need to cut wires. It just works. You’ll need to get power from the battery but it’s so simple as the battery is right there in the boot. I’ve also had the DSP professionally tuned as my attempt was terrible.

The only things that are still oem are the front and rear door tweeters. I couldn’t find a viable plug and play solution for those. I’m not an audio guru and the thought of having to add crossovers was a little too much for me when I did most of the work. I may revisit it once I have more time.

With all of the above installed, the only problem I have now is rattles. I’ve used baffles and a large amount of dynamat everywhere but the plastics still rub. I’ve now resorted to cutting up pieces of foam for seats and pushing that into crevices to stop the rattles. Seems to be working well so far.

I added a JL sub, amp and LCi2 to mine. I won't say I hate it, but I really don't like the way it hits/sounds. It was the same when I had it in my A6, might be a tuning issue but it gives me a headache. I'd be interested in upgrading the speakers etc in hopes to get everything sounding good, but there's a lot of costs to properly integrate it so I've left it as is.

Speakers definitely help especially the front dash and lower doors. I’d suggest investing in some new ones if you want to have a better overall sound.

But my main advice is to get the system tuned properly. I tried to tune the new DSP myself and it was terrible. Took it to a specialist who spent 1 hour tuning and it now sounds excellent. The majority of that hour was spent setting things up with only 20 mins needed to actually tune it which was impressive. The tuner is an official Musway partner here in the UK which made it easy for him.

Does anyone know if the non-b&o front dash twitters can be upgraded with some b&o ones? Are they plug and play?
