I don't know if anyone has ever had issues with their factory radio amplifier unit but there is a guy who can rebuild and upgrade them. I found this on an Acura forum as they have known issues with their factory amps. This got me thinking, so I messaged him and he claims he can upgrade any factory amplifier. There is nothing wrong with mine but the claim is that it can be improved. By using high end components inside the amp he can squeeze out a little more power and better sound. I'm bored and might send my radio unit to him and see if it makes any difference. I considered buying a used unit but then I would need component protection removed and that seems a little bit spendy for something that might not make a huge difference.
