For sale is a complete---complete---SPEC SA26A Stage 3 "street" clutch kit for the 2.7T applications. Kit has "about" 600 miles on it. This is the full meal deal, and has been fully professionally refurbished: stage 3 sprung carbon kevlar disc, professionally resurfaced pressure plate, lightweight aluminum flywheel has had the center ring bolt area professionally resurfaced, brand new flywheel contact plate (still in the packaging), and the bearing. It needs nothing----EVERYTHING you need to jump to a high-powered (and yet streetable) clutch kit is here. ALL OF IT.
"Ok so if it's SOOOO good, why is he selling it?"
Very simple----I own the world's only B6.5 RS4 Avant....a multi-show-winning car up and down the west coast, including top honors this year ("Best Marque Audi") at the Legends of the Autobahn Concourse in Monterey this past summer during the famed "Monterey Car Week" events. More than $90,000 has been put into this car since it's inception, and this was part of it. (In other words, I take serious care of my showcar, no expense has been spared) Right before she went on tour this year, we sold a few more brake systems and I had enough left to jump to the Clutchmasters Twin Disc 850....which costs around $3000. That's why. And that's the only reason why. So we removed this clutch kit, cleaned it up and it is now available for sale. If you start digging, you will find that this full kit, brand new WITH the aluminum flywheel runs average around $1300 dollars. Look it up.
"OK so how much power will it hold?"
Spec doesn't advertise their hp and torque-holding specs very well, you have to dig to find them. What I CAN tell you is that my Avant runs in the 590-610hp and near-500ftlbs torque range, and this clutch never once even got CLOSE to slipping. If you want to use a different (or new) clutch disc than what I have supplied here (which came with the kit), knock yourself out. It isn't really necessary, as like I said, this one only has about 600 miles on it and has gobs of meat left on it.....but its your call. Some guys choose to start with an all-new disc, I understand that.
First $600 PLUS SHIPPING gets it. That's slightly less than half the cost of a fully brand new kit, and this has 600 miles on it...not even fully broken in yet. No, I am not accepting any "offers". I have no problem respectfully telling anyone: if you can honestly find a clutch kit as good as this---WITH THE ALUMINUM FLYWHEEL----at THIS price or better----freaking buy it. Shipping around the continental US is gonna be "roughly" 25 to 30 bucks on average, and it will be fabulously well-packaged.
