    Vacuum leak or dying turbo?

Is this sound a vacuum leak or is one of the turbos unhappy? Can’t reproduce the noise without load, unfortunately. Already ran through the vacuum system and couldn’t find anything and my mind is moving towards the idea that it may be a sign of a larger issue. Turbo Concepts DZX-271 that has made this sound since first drive…less than 2k miles on em now. This is my first 2.7t and I haven't really had a modified turbo car for over a decade, so I'm a bit in the dark with nuance stuff like this. Thanks!

Have you performed a boost leak test? Usually, the dentist drill sound is not good and the indication of a turbo going, or already gone bad. However, last summer while driving I suddenly lost power and when I heard this sound I freaked out thinking I lost a turbo. Fortunately, it was just a clamp that came loose at the turbo and the hose popped off. Since it was so close to the turbo, I could hear it whine loudly just like that.
