    Rear turn signal malfunction

Hi, i'm trying to figure out what could gone wrong. Sometimes When i use right turn signal a malfunction appears. Looks like bad part of rear light (trunk part) but it cause also a traffic jam asist to stop working.
My dealer suggest rear light replacement but he does suggest replacement every time...
Should i replace the light? Couldnt it be something else because wth does traffic jam assist has to do with rear light?

    Cheers

What malfunction error do you get, what does OBD scanner pull up, and what is the actual behavior of the turn signal?

These are the kinds of things you should scan for actual DTCs and work from the actual data, rather than winging it.
But the error message and the video do seem to make a simple case for a failed right side trunk lid light assembly. And being LED, it's an all or nothing, you don't get to just replace a $5 bulb.
Makes no sense for it to impact traffic jam assist. Would be curious what the actual DTC for that is.

You don't specify enough about your vehicle to be able to identify a part. Is this B9.0 or B9.5, it appears to be a sedan, is it RoW spec left hand traffic (like Germany), RoW spec right hand traffic (like UK), or US spec?

Could be a wiring issue. Have you tried unplugging/replugging that unit to see if it was just a poor connection?

    It's a 2017 B9 S4 Avant, German spec.

Local Audi service told me that they adjusted some wires but other than that found nothing, how unexpected :D
If it was just the light malfunction i would order a new light no question, but i cant really understand what it has to do with traffic jam assist :D

Guess i'll have to go there once again since before the malfunction disappeared by itself after a day or two, now it looks like it's finally permanent so they could maybe figure it out.

Looks like the B9.0 LED tail lamps updated for MY18. As a MY17 (VIN H) wagon, your right inner unit would be 8W9 945 094, no revision letter, then. I don't really understand why there's different inner tail lamps for left hand traffic vs right hand traffic; seems a relevant concern only for head lamps. https://www.ebay.com/itm/154833329131 That's an expensive light bulb, but not as bad as I was expecting.

Yeah, can't explain the ACC issue without an actual scan showing the actual problem. As you see, dash messages are generally unhelpful. Always good to have a VCDS or OBDeleven, or even Carista, around for when these kinds of things come up. Lot faster and cheaper to get some info than having to go to the dealership.
