    SQ5 lowering springs adjustment

My pre-owned 2016 SQ5 came with lowering springs and a set of hook spanner wrenches. The ride is extremely firm to the point of being uncomfortable as a daily driver. Will loosening the collar on the springs make the suspension more compliant and does anyone have any tips for getting the ride hight dialed in with the least amount of effort? Springs are yellow if that helps. Didn’t see any branding while I was doing brakes and rotors today. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Loosening the springs will just lower the vehicle. Sounds like you need to adjust the dampers. Make sure you’re not on the bump stops. Open the clickers up a little on compression and rebound to get more movement from the suspension. Also Sometimes if the dampers are too loose, it will ride bad due to uncontrolled movement and you actually need to close the adjusters a little. Is it firm like the suspension is not moving or does it feel like uncontrolled movement?

The ride is just incredibly firm, not bouncy. I guess I should have looked more closely at the setup while I had the wheels off. Where do I adjust the dampers and recommendations on how much or just trial and error? I appreciate your help.

You may need some pictures. I assumed it was an adjustable kit but people can also put a coil over setup on non adjustable dampers. Sometimes they have knobs on top. Sometimes they don’t. I guess first step is identifying what you have. Sorry I can’t be of more help.
