    Steering Wander at High Speed

Looking for some help here. I have a 2016 Audi A7 Prestige with 20in wheels. Recently put new tires 275/35r20 Michelin Pilot Sport AS 4. Ever since then at higher speeds (70mph+) it constantly feels as though I have to correct the steering to stay in the lane. Kind of like the car is being pushed around due to high crosswinds but ruled that out when I felt the same on a day with no wing. Had an alignment done at a local shop and that didn't really seem to solve the issue either. Following factory psi specs found on the drivers side door. Car still feels pretty planted during turns, mostly straights where I'm noticing the wander.

    All help is appreciated. Thanks!

Rotate tires and see if the feeling changes. You could have a defective tire pushing or pulling sideways going down the road even though they are new tires.

I had a similar feeling with my ‘16 A7. Try turning off the lane assist.

by turning off lane assist do you mean turning it off from the high beam stock? Or are you referring to turning it off in the MMI. I normally drive without lane assist enabled off the stock but I believe my setting is perpetually turned on in MMI vehicle settings. Will turn off from MMI, maybe some luck there!

When I first got my A7 I was not familiar with the lane assist and didn’t realize it was on. It felt like the car was drifting on its own. After I read the manual and turned off lane assist using the button on the high beam stick the feeling went away. I just keep it off now. All good.

Pilots are not directional, but if they mixed the tread pattern, you can get some funky results.

I had a set that growled until I swapped sides with them. POOF... quiet as couple be!

Make sure side to side is correct! They could have put one or more inside out.

    Cheers,

    KS
