Just got my new 2023 RS5 and was going through the cockpit dashes and noticed the runway dash was missing!?? Is there a break in period for it to appear or does it not come standard in the rs5?

It might not be an option on the B9.5 RS5. I'm sure i've recently seen something online about that but could only find this thread that mentions it: https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...1#post14852584

Perhaps it's still available and only needs to be set in the "Sport Displays" in the instrument cluster (as mentioned in the owners manual on page 16). Hope it works for you!

No runway display on my 2022 model either. From what I could find, it appears that it was eliminated at a certain point in time. Same for other RS cars as well. Don't know the reason.

I have a 2022 and the RS runway option shows in my virtual cockpit setup screen.

Yes it does. I only have two options, the Sport and Performance. Some RS6 and RS7 owners have mentioned this issue as well. So something did change.

Some had it in 2022 and some didn't though. Seems odd...

For 2022 US model, only RS6/RS7 has it, I don't think any RS5 come with it

Maybe just US models. My Canadian car has it...I don't get it.

It's silly anyhow...Not sure why all these car companies need to reinvent the wheel...

No idea why it goes top to bottom vs bottom to top...

B9.0 was simple. Two views, default and infotainment. Default view had two layouts, classic and sport (round center tach).

B9.5 (MY20+) and MIB3 ditched the good sport layout and created a new sport layout that was nothing more than the classic layout with some red paint. What a sham. The real sport layout was replaced with the performance layout, the hockey stick center tach.

MY21 introduced the dynamic layout for A/S models, and the runway layout for RS models. Though it seems mixed bag if your RS has the runway layout enabled. It seems a direct enough question for a dealership to get an answer from AoA. Could well be a MIB3 software update concern, though I'm still unsure if the graphics and supporting data for the VC+ are in the instrument cluster unit or the MIB3 J794 unit.

When I did a search, I found that some RS6 owners (unsure of RS7) didn't have it either. I guess it will remain as one of life's great mysteries. But I have not heard of any late 2022 RS5 builds in the US that have it.
