Great news! Does this flash also cover the B9.5 A5?

B9 RS5 is on the dyno now and in active development. It's not far off now. We also have a full line of hardware coming (intake, turbo inlet, intercooler, exhaust, etc..).

    Okay,
can someone please help me understand? Does stage 1 requires TCU flash or not?
I saw some vendors (like APR) do not require it, but some others do require it. The output numbers are about the same.

Happy to give some insight. On the B9 platform, Stage 1 TCU is really just a TCU patch that raises the torque limit. For the tunes that are putting out a lot of torque on Stage 1 or Stage 2 and hybrids, the factory TCU has a torque limiter programmed into it that will pull the power back if exceeded. The Stage 1 TCU simply raises that limit and nothing else -which is why it's included for free with any ECU tune, and yes it's required.

Can you tell me more about the Stage2 TCU tune? What are the benefits of opting for that? Especially, say, if someone is only running Stage 1 ECU tune.

Think of it as the difference between stock ECU and Stage or 2 ECU tuned. Stage 1 TCU is the same as stock and will feel the same; the only difference is that it will not interfere with an ECU tune and limit power. Stage 2 TCU is a complete rewrite of the transmission programming and completely improves every aspect of how they drive and further increases performance and acceleration. Stage 2 TCU will deliver raised torque limits, faster shifts, optimized shift points, multiple launch-control modes, enthusiast drive mapping, and more! When paired with an ECU tune, Stage 2 TCU will significantly transform every performance aspect of your B9 3.0T, delivering faster launches, higher Gs, and more enthusiast-centered driving behavior.

While we are on the subject, the Stage 2+ and Stage 3 TCU tunes are both the same as the Stage 2 TCU tune -except they have different shift RPM points to keep you in the highest power output in the powerband for the matching ECU tunes.

Does anyone know of any proprietary TCU tunes? Is that possible for this vehicle? I’m looking to change the shifting characteristics of my 23 S4. It seems like the newer B9.5 S4 from factory doesn’t shift as quickly as the original B9.

    Great insight, thanks a lot.
Can you tell me if Stage 2 TCU is really worth it if you DO NOT RACE, Launch, etc? I use my RS5 as a daily and for fun only...Should I just get the ECU Stage 1 and and TCU Stage 1 or JUMP to the TCU sTAGE 2?
    THANKS A LOT.

Confirmed today that ECU + TCU for the 2023 RS5 is now available by IE, but, avoid ordering from ECS, as you will not be happy with their customer support and they will not send you the connection flash true app.
Purchase directly from IE or some other store.
    Heads up

Super curious to know if there is an estimated ETA for a Stage 2 TCU tune for the B9.5? About to jump ship from a JB4 tune to IE but really want the full package.

    Thanks!
