255's on 8.5" stockers all around? Currently on 245's

I'm considering 255's on my black powdercoated stockers. I DO have springs and 10mm spacers. Have 2 sets of stock wheels, so running the 8.5" all around. Anyone had any problems with rubbing in back with springs and spacers?

Well, I can't really account for the springs and spacers but, on my wifes car, she had 255 MP4S tires on her car but with aftermarket wheels with a very, very aggressive offset. She is on JRI suspension (529Innovations) and it has taken paint off of her rear inner fender from rubbing even with the height maxed out on that setup. We will be swapping out to 18" 034 forged wheels and putting 255/40/18's on the car to help alleviate that problem.

JDY Next Gen 6670 coming soon (shooting for 975-1kwhp on low boost).

Thanks for the response. On the 245's, I've only had issues once on the interstate with our 17 year old son, two of his friends, and a trunk full of luggage. In "comfort" mode, it was rubbing on dips in the road. It felt like it was scrubbing the top of the fender liner. Not really sure. If I kept it firmed up in sport mode it didn't do it nearly as much obviously. I'd like to put a slight bit more width all around...figured it may work. I should have tried running the stock 255's from the front on the rear before I went square. Can't find any posts that have people that have done it with spacers and springs.

8.5" stock wheels are ET46. I currently have 8.5" in the rear with ET35 and those are flush with the rear bodywork. So the stockers will sit 11 mm more inboard.

No problems at all. I have a spare set of 255/35/18 on 18x8.5 Neuspeed RS-10 that I used for a few thousand miles and no issues. They fit great.

Thanks for the responses....If I have any serious rubbing in the rear with 255's, I'll just pull the spacers off and go with stock studs. I do appreciate the responses.

I am running 245/40/18 Michelin AS3+ on Neuspeed 18x8.5 alloy wheels, now at 42,957 miles of which 30,929 have been fast country back roads running 10am-2pm during Tues, Weds and Thurs in our 2019 Audi RS 3 only when other traffic is nill.

No issues at all and certainly vastly superior to the 235/35/19 that came on our 2019 Audi RS 3 and we experienced very poor performance from these tires, given our soon to put new Michelin All Season 4 tires on, as the AS3+ are just about at 3mm of tread depth remaining. Our Audi has been a great country back roads and canyon runner indeed, which is 72% of its use, weather permitting. I've been driving high performance automobiles for the past 64 years, but now at age 82 I've slowed down a bit. ;-)

    My Photo Gallery is active.
