Bespoke Floormats for your S4

For the longest time, I was after a set of proper carpeted mats for my own car. I went through several iterations, testing different materials as far as carpet pile, backing, mounts, etc. My inspiration were the genuine “RS” option mats that Audi makes available when you purchase a new RS model car and opt for the Exclusive Interior option. For those few who select that, audi then optionally offers a set of black mats with the traditional RS logo. But of course, nothing even close to this existed for the older models, till now! I went ahead and ordered multiple mats that I saw advertised all over for the car, and the net result each time was a cheap feeling set of mats, that were thin and flimsy. Nothing that would stand up to actual use. Or, they had a heel pad stitched in place, which solves one issue of where your foot tends to naturally rest while driving, but, looks blatantly aftermarket. I wanted something that looked and felt like Audi did it themselves.


The final result was completed last week, which I’m excited to share. Those that know me, know I’m a stickler for details. Little stuff matters, big stuff matters, it all matters. I don’t want questionable parts anywhere near my car - even if it’s “just floormats”.

To that end, I’m offering a limited run of these for sale. There are lots of customizable options including the stitch color for the rhombus, stitch color for the “S4”, edging/border color, edging stitch color. There are a nearly endless array of color options, allowing me to do a truly custom tailored set of mats for you. Perfect for everything from a daily, to a show car, and everything in between.

These are the pictures of the finalized version, which are currently in my own car. I elected to get the dark green rhombus to coordinate with the green accents I’ve chosen for my car (valvecovers, calipers, a couple interior items). I then went with the OEM Audi color for the S logo, and chose to do a light gray outer edging, which matches the stitching on my steering wheel. I chose to do the graphic on the front mats only. The back mats on my car are blank, but have the same light gray edging. Both front and rear mats clip in place using the OEM mounts, so they won’t move around. The pile is thick, the backing is very strong and dense, so they are built to last and not fall apart.

I’ve already had a good response from my Instagram posts (@audi_exclusive_), and wanted to open up to people who may not have seen those posts or just aren’t on IG.

These same colors, and more, are available for stitching color too. So whether your car is Imola, Nogaro, Santorin, Silver, White - it can be coordinated!

Pricing for a set like mine - front logo only, starts at $269 + shipping for the full set of 4. If you want the logo on front and back mats, pricing starts at $299 + shipping for the set of 4. I have 2 production runs set for these. Mats ordered by this Sunday 12/17/22 would be ready to ship to you the second week of January. Mats ordered by 12/23/22 (shortened week due to the holiday), would be ready ship at the end of January. All mats will be securely packed and shipped with tracking provided. Hey all, happy Friday. My first batch of 10 are all but wrapped up (these were orders done to 12/26, with one exception, who I spoke to about his desired color arrangement). I’ll be finishing this week and will begin packing and shipping next week.

For those who ordered just after Christmas, those are starting this weekend as well, and will be shipping by end of the month.

I was seriously considering inquiring about a set back in December, but I would only be interested if the rhombus and 'S4' lettering is "filled-in", rather than just a colored outline. Do you happen to know what that option costs?

That configuration is only offered as a smaller logo, and positioned on the side of the front mats. Here’s one other shot of it I took before shipping it. This particular set was done with Nogaro blue stitching and black nubuck edging for the mats

Cost depends where it’s shipping to, and what you choose for edging and stitching. If you dm me with what you may want, I can let you know.



The reason it can't be done as a larger, center logo, is it would place a lot of strain on the mat in that area, and likely would not hold up in the long term. So, if you want the larger, center logo (like mine shown in post 1, or most of the others shown), it is the rhombus outline only. If you want the filled in rhombus, then it's a much smaller logo, along the outside edge of the mat, as shown above.

Happy to help! I have to say, some of the nicest preped cars in North America have purchased these, which is really quite humbling for me. I think it's just a really nice complimentary piece, and the color customization available really let's you get something that is totally unique for your build.

Round 2 mats are being finished up, and will be shipping out with tracking emailed/texted (if I have your #!)

Round 3 mats orders are now being accepted. Got a friend with a C5 A6, Allroad, S6, RS6? Or a B7 A4/S4/RS4? Maybe an 8V/8Y A3/S3/RS3? Or, maybe you or a friend have the higher up German relatives, a 996 or 997 911 (and variant). Let me know! I can do the mats for those as well.

I just added an explanation as to the "why?", in case anyone is interested to know, in post #24

Also, multiple people have asked me the best way to maintain these. Regular vacuuming will keep them looking new. It's a very high wear carpet, so even if you wear shoes with harder soles, you should not have any long term issues at all.

For the thread, so far, I've been using AmmoNYC's "Shag" cleaner. Larry is a good guy, and makes some awesome products. I've cleaned mine 4 times now, as I'm currently using it as my daily till I pick my other cars up in PA. I spray it on the logo, covering it, let it sit for 5 minutes, and then using a stiffer bristle brush (I use ones from Griots, but even a toothbrush would work), agitate it. Wipe down with a microfiber, and a final vacuum and you're done. The stitching is colorfast, so should be able to take a beating and come out clean (short of bleach!). You can use Shag on the leather edges as well, as it won't stain it so long as you don't let it sit there and dry.

I plan to experiment with some other cleaners this weekend, most notable, Oxy detergent (diluted), Dawn, and Woolite.
