Air suspension fuse blows when cold

Now that we're getting into winter my cars (2017 S6) developed a problem. Any time the temperature is below freezing the 40amp fuse for the air compressor will blow as soon as the compressor tries to turn on. Once the temperature gets a little above freezing, it'll run with no problem. Has anyone ever dealt with an issue like this?

I’d start out with finding a good used compressor and swap it out. Seems the cold temps are making it work harder than it should.
