Tech Inquiry: RS4 (MT) CPU vs Q7 CPU (Auto) for Project Build

I am working on a somewhat unique build and wanted to field a question out of curiosity. I currently have a B7 S4 (auto) that is leaking oil and will require an engine pull. As fate would have it, I have RS4 BNS parts and plan to utilize the Q7 BAR block to "Frankenstein" a RS4 engine. I literally have the necessary parts save new Bearings (acquiring soon), and some odd end hoses.

As such, I know the basic answer is use my CPU and tune, but I wondered if the RS4 utilizes 2 CPU, and the second is literally for engine management, what would the chances be to use the Q7 CPU and the "main" since it too is an auto? I would also have to question how it would communicate with the 2nd CPU for engine management. May not be worth the trouble but an interesting thought.

Perhaps try reaching out to Jackal Motorsports. You would need an ECU savant to be sure, since the risk of engine damage is pretty significant. Personally, I wouldn’t do it, interesting as it is (which is probably what every villager said to Dr Frankenstein, I know).
I'm still listening for that rattle!
If it rattles, it's because I baby it.

Understood. Just thought since the Q7 has 1 ecu controlling everything, what the chances would be talking to the 2nd ecu since it controls engine management only. Not tracking the car so was just curious. Will definitely reach out to them, thanks.
