Totaled 2008 S4 Avant, market value?

    Need a little help here.

My 2008 S4 Avant (triptronic, 100k miles) got crushed by a delivery truck in a zero speed accident. Its front left corner, front bumper, drivers door and left rear quarter panel damage. As far as I can tell it's just body work - car still runs, only fluid leak was the washer fluid from the headlight squirters. Body work estimate is $20k so insurance says it's done.

They offered me just under $15k by pulling 2 auto trader listings from near Seattle for 2008 S4 Avants. I never found these cars in my searching on Autotrader. One was from September so not even sure how they pulled an old listing. The 2 listing I found since the accident were $20k and $24k.

Is their offer low or am I just being wishful?

I can have the car and $11k and a salvage title.

I am sure going to miss one of the hottest hatches ever to grace our shores.
Nothing like the NA V8 sound in a car the size of a Golf.
No idea what to replace it with ...

    thanks.

Think he mentioned no coolant leaked out, only the windshield wiper fluid.

Look at the pictures, no coolant at the reservoir.

Similar scenario but much less damage happened to mine last year. The bill for it with 1 new door and 2 panels color blend on phantom black was $6500 without any rental car cost as I have another car. Fixing it correctly cost big bucks.
With that in mind, your car is a part out for sure unless you have a really great hook up to fix it correctly.

Anyone can hack that car back together cheaply of course and I've seen some ugly ones out there.

As for value, I'd say counter at 17.5k and walk. Find another one and not consider buying it back.

6500 or 20k is a big difference still.

I noticed the coolant reservoir was low/empty so nice job with the pics! Looking under the car, everything looked intact except the washer fluid stuff that is all in that corner. The big aluminum bar that is the real bumper wasn't bent/tweaked and everything behind that looks untouched. I couldn't find any place the coolant may have leaked. So it's a mystery to be solved or forgotten...

Thanks for the link to the other thread, I'll ping the appraiser for some help.

Ill you know how it comes out - just nice to know some other folks out there care and get that this is a special car :-)
