Tire shop lost my rims

Bad news, jumped on a Black Friday sale to get some blizzaks for the winter. I've got 20" alzors that I bought this summer I had the 18" stockers sitting around and was going to run them in the weather.
It was going to be a few days before the tires were in so I figured to save time I'd drop the rims off so they could mount and balance them and then just switch my set up over the weekend.

I went and dropped my car off on Sat and they told me it'd be 90 min, which I thought was a long time.
About 15 min later I was told my rims were gone.
That's the bad news.

Here is the good news, first thing the guy tells me is I will get rims replaced and they are buying my tires.
So I didn't even get a chance to be mad...

Ok, he knew the magic words, now what did that mean? They called Audi and found out what oem replacements would cost. (Company policy)
Which was great, because they freaked out at the cost for stock 18 in rims from 7 years ago.

End of the day, I'm getting a set of Rohanna RFX10's and tires for free.
Yup, that's the good news.

I wouldnt settle for aftermarket rim replacement. They should be held accountable for the OE rims and tires you purchased. They are absolutely more in value than a set of Rohanna

I don’t know anything about Rohanna, but many of the aftermarket rims a TUV approved. Some are lighter and still approved and some look better to the owner…

I’ve bent stock and aftermarket. And, many aftermarket brands make non OE wheels that are great.

I’d say relax, be happy. Sounds like the shop did you right.

Im an OEM snob (not JJ snobbish) and want to keep all my OE parts. Aftermarket is a choice, and if you had an enthusiast buyer later, and didn't have OE, this may be a detractor. I wouldn't buy the car if it didnt have the OE parts to accompany

I mean, good on the shop for offering to make it right, but I would want my OE replaced.

Yeah, I don't want the OEM 18 in Rims.
I'm also not concerned about resale as I plan to drive this for my morning commute until it fails or we run out of diesel.

I do understand the desire to have OEM parts, and if we were talking about an RS or an otherwise more desirable car with more desirable options, well.. I wouldn't have left the rims at the tire shop on black Friday weekend.

I've been running Rohana RFX7 for at least 3 years now, probably longer... and aside from the time I couldn't avoid hitting somebody's trailer hitch on the highway, I haven't had any problems with them so far.

I sold my OEM wheels. My car is well beyond restoring back to OEM spec. lol

They also paid for new Rims...when with Variant Radon 20's from AZ through vivid racing...

I would think the desire for OEM 18" wheels from this platform is pretty low. I am an OEM snob - own two sets of Rotors - and you made the right choice, not even seeing what your stock 18s looked like haha

Travis' car is far from OEM too haha. Though he may have all the OEM parts he's upgraded, wheels matter far less than OEM mechanical parts on resale.

Yeah I've never had a person ask for stock wheels when I was selling a car in the past. I throw out and sell all the OEM stuff unless it's interior or emissions related. Too much stuff in my garage already. lol
