Hi,
I finally received my Q8 23' and so far it's an amazing experience. I'm blown away how everything works seamlessly, however there are things regarding ACC that I still can't understand and get a bit more comfortable. Here are few scenario where I noticed it doesn't work as expected:
Scenario 1: You are driving on motorway and entering city with lots of other cars, it picks up the car nicely, but if you have a slight curve on the road, slight curve, I can easily see everything, if some car is stopped in front of me, ACC isn't showing up the car detected nor it starts to brake, hence I'm taking over, applying the brake because If I don't do that I'm confident it'll be too late.
Scenario 2: Almost similar as previous scenario, but this time when I feel confident to make a full stop, I let the system to go all the way, it'll eventually pick up the car, and starts breaking hard, which is not comfortable at all.
I also noticed that cars completely stopped is harder for the system to detect than the cars that are moving, on top of that ACC is detecting cars much harder even on a slight curve. I'd understand it on a curve where visibility is much lower, thought.
90% of time it works flawlessly, but these 10% are kinda weird. I'm thinking maybe something isn't calibrated?
What's your experience and do you have any tips and tricks?
