    For the knowledgable,

I may need to replace engine mounts. Hearing thumps during breaking and sounded like the previous B8 that needed engine mounts replaced.

Good info. From 034 about their replacement mounts. Dealer won’t install after market so wondering if anyone can tell me which OE mounts are heavy duty/ 3.0 engine/ compared to my current mounts? B9 2.0 premium plus.

    TIA…….

Well, the 3.0T mounts won't match to the 2.0T engine, so that's of no use for you. There are passive mounts for the 6MT, then fluid filled reactive mounts for the 7AT (DCT). There's also different mounts for the evo engine (the 248/261 bhp one) vs the b-cycle engine (the 188/201 bhp one)

So which engine do you have (engine code on the sticker on the front of the engine, three letters) and which transmission do you have and is it FWD or quattro?

Thanks for responding. I have the 2017 fwd 248bhp cmc engine?

    2.0T DCT seems to be:

    4M0199371FC left
    4M0199372FC right

8W...CR seems to be for the 2.0T 6MT

CP and CQ seem to be facelift units. Unfortunately, IFI is down right now, so can't really look into it.

4M...FG is 3.0T stuff, for S4. Not going to physically match.

I'd either just get the ones the dealership says matches your VIN, or get aftermarket ones and find an actual shop to do the job. Though, Hawaii, I imagine there's very few shop options. There's no reason the dealership shouldn't install some 034 ones. At that point, you're just using them as an expensive labor rate auto shop. Why do they care.

Went with the 034’s yesterday after mine failed at 65k. Noticeable vibe in the seat at idle in D, less in S. No issue when actually driving though, things feel MUCH tighter.

Good to know, they are on my list down the road and I never use D anyway.

I would bet that vibration will mellow a bit as they wear in a bit as well.

Thanks for the support! For clarification, our rubber mounts will break-in over time so definitely allow around 500 miles for them to settle.
