2018 RS3 Bevel Box Rear Output Shaft Bearing

Well it seems my RS3 has decided to not play nice with me.

Had an odd noise under low speed, little to no acceleration and low load that sounded like a humming noise. Put it up on the house tonight and found that the output shaft to the rear driveshaft is moving front to back and has some side to side play. I am suspecting the bearing has failed in the unit causing this issue however I can not find any replaceable parts for the bevel box other than oil seals.

Has anyone experienced this? Is there anyone who knows what bearings would be needed to service/rebuild the bevel box?

Car has 59000kms on it and all have been babied. Seen a total of 5 launches, no track days or anything of that sort.

Is it the bearing? Its a common failure for the gear to spin on the shaft since its just a press fit in the transfer case/bevel box essentially making your car FWD. lots of videos on youtube about it.

Taken from here, all the way down at the bottom: https://www.haldexrepairs.co.uk/gene...-repair-guide/

"Transfer Box Failure generally only effects modified vehicles, almost every example has been a remapped car. Very common with Golf R, S3, RS3, TTS, TTRS etc. These transfer boxes are not designed to be robust, this is a really good youtube video showing how they fail inside https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nt33-EgQ4gk"

Someone commented in the comment section, their 2018 RS3 transfer box also failed

I have just had my bevel box bearings replaced by a company here in the uk, I had slight play in them but caught them early before any noises or failure, here a link to the company that can replace them...

Is the bevel box in the RS3 ever needs to be serviced like the rear differential and haldex? I've read on here that S3 owners do have it serviced regularly, although it is not part of the scheduled Audi maintenance. On the RS3s, is it part of the DSG fluid? So, no separate fluid for the front bevel box?
