Pops and burbles for non-sport C7.5?

Hello everyone. I am picking up a 2017 S6 that does not have the sport package. I am looking at either the AWE Touring or Borla catback exhaust systems.

I’ve been watching every YouTube video I can get my hands on to find the perfect tone. I’ve heard a couple 16-17’s that have one of the two exhausts I mentioned, and they also have pop and burble tone.

My question is, do all C7.5’s produce that sound once the exhaust is replaced? Or is it just the cars that came with the sport exhaust? Hoping mine would sound the same even though it’s a non sport car.

    Thank you

All C7.5's regardless of sport options or not will provide the pops and burples in Dynamic/Sport mode

when you are in drive, put the car in the MMI into Dynamic mode, or when you are in D, pull the shifter back once without depressing the button and it will shift from D to S.

    hoon and enjoy

I know this because I slept in a Holiday Inn Express last night, and I own a C7.5 S6 Prestige Non-Sport optioned car

    Thanks for the reply.

I am now thinking, if the sport trim and non sport trim are the same, hypothetically you’d be able to put a sport exhaust on a non sport model and it would sound the same?

I have a 2017 S6 with non sport exhaust and it does NOT pop and burble in Sport/Dynamic mode.

We had an owner that showed the shorter path on the driver side muffler of the sport exhaust, C7.5 the driver side valve was moved to before the driver side muffler so when closed that exhaust path is no longer available and gases go out the passenger side. With all that said, I think the C7.5 can do burbles easier than the C7 and with the sport muffler it is more growl. https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...r+side+muffler

Thanks for sharing all the info guys. I have spoken to other C7.5 non sport owners and they have confirmed that an aftermarket exhaust will pop and burble even on a non sport car. I’m

I have redstar catted d/p's (minimal audible change) and the suitcase removed - straight piped through... (**requires the valve sims to keep the muffler valves always open!!!)

the sound is beyond nuts and the pops become bangs...

You can modify DS1 tunes to create the slight pop burbles like the RS7 exhaust. I did this to my S6 and have been very happy with the results. It is slightly more aggressive than the RS7 exhaust noise but nothing crazy or annoying like a machine gun that some cars on the road sound like.
