    Hi Gents,
I hope you are doing fine in these strange times.

Would you recommend any good audio system for my Audi?
Mine does not have Bose but it has a stock sub-woofer in the trunk.

Currently I have a big stock player with 6 CD changer.

I was looking into this topic few years back but I was not convinced about these conventional and big touch screen units.
Then it turned out it's not easy to sort out all the Audi proprietary connectors.

    What would you recommend?
    Best regards

Are you looking to upgrade both your radio and speakers?

Mine came w/ a Bose system and I replaced everything w/ aftermarket gear. Takes a bit of time but I've done it in 3 other cars I've owned, so had plenty of hardware and experience from doing it previously. One of the best things you can do if you enjoy listening to music in your car.

That looks similar to the unit I installed in my A4 several years ago, but with some nice updates. I works perfectly fine, although the NAV maps of that version are simplistic compared to the recent models. I just wish it had the Android Auto feature that the new systems have.

Concerning the "Audi proprietary connectors", I had two issues when installing mine: (1) The box came with two different adaptor connectors/harnesses. One marked "A4" and the other "A3". A3 was the one that fit and worked. (2) The antenna adapter was probably designed for a B7, as it didn't match my 2005's antenna end. I modified it to fit, but had near zero radio reception. It turns out that the antenna amplifier above the rear window gets its 5V power through the coax cable's shield, rather than the shield being grounded as they usually are. And sure enough, there was a loose wire on the new harness marked "antenna". That was the 5V source, and once connected as intended, made the radio work.

I find this in my opinion this is the best option.please note this is a work in progress at this time. Pretty close t completion but I have a ton of other projects going on all at the same time. That being said enjoy.
