    Hey,

I have a Audi A6 C6 3.0 TFSI. The engine block got destroyed. Car enginecode is: caja. I coud bye a engine that has a code: CGXB engine block. Is this suitable for my car?

Or do you have any other idea, what other engine block would work in my car?

I will add my two cents because I just had this issue within the last few months. I ended up having a cracked main bearing in my old engine with 195k miles, and looked for months to find an engine.
I was originally going to have my crank machined and fit oversized bearings so I could have a good engine again. Took the block in for inspection and that ruined that plan.
Finally after searching for a few months a dude had an engine that supposedly smoked a lot and he did not want to deal with the car. Drove 18 total hours and successfully installed the $1200 engine without issue.
However before buying, I did take a look on eBay and thought I could source one from there (wanted about 2500 to 3500), but the new, 2012+, engine types do not seem to have the same bolt up pattern to our transmissions. They also lack the "bracket" (piece of block idk what its called) to hold the starter for the flex plate.

TLDR; So I suggest looking for an engine from years of 2009 to 2011 so that its a drop in and there is no hassle. I would stay away from the other engine codes because there is not a definite example of somone installing one. (Not that I know of)
