switching to 034 for wife's car? is it bug-free?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
My wife's 3.0 has a single pulley upgrade and currently EPL tune.

I want to switch to 034. It's my wife's car so I am more concerned about reliability.

Anyone have any issues with it? I don't want to log and send info back at all if there are issues....

    Thanks!

For what its worth I have a 2015 Q5 3.0t flashed the 034 ecu/tcu tune and had nothing but problems with it. Shifted like shit. Engine didnt seem to run properly.

Ended up sending it back and going IE. Have had NO issues what so ever on this one. Shifts great, good power delivery. Even went back and got a tune through IE for my wifes A3.

Great company and great customer service.

I have the 034 ECU and TCU tune and when it's not in sport mode I don't think my wife even notices it unless she really gets into the gas. I had the Beta TCU tune which was a little clunky, but they have since updated it and its as smooth as OEM in my opinion. No problems here and absolutley love the added power. Only thing I would change is the staging cooling fan that comes on when the vehicle is stationary with the cruise control stalk in the enabled position, I rarely have a desire for that fan and its very loud. Easy enough to shut off though I guess.

2016 Q5 3.0 and was running the same EPL Stage Two single pulley tune as well as their TCU tune. I moved to the same tunes with 034 a couple months back and I am extremely happy. The TCU tune is much smoother compared to EPL and like Jess3.0T mentioned, when not in sport mode the drivability is easy. You will feel it when you get on it, but every day driving around town or rush hour traffic is mellow until you do.

I say do it. I run 034 on my 3.0TFSI Q5, and it works great. Most of the logging talk you're hearing about is people taking advantage of the excellent logger to diagnose mechanical issues with their vehicle. It has nothing to do with the tune itself. It's bug free at this stage in the game.

Go for it! Discounts for switching as well! The latest revisions on the 034 ecu and tcu tunes are great. They have really fine tuned their calibrations for our platform.

Another very happy customer here. The recent TCU update is excellent, much better than stock.
