2022 S3 8Y mmi blank screen

Welp my mmi took a sht.

Screen is completely blank. All related functions: rear view, nav, carplay, music etc are down. I even get the notifications on the cluster that they're all down.

Resetting with the power button didn't work. Fuse looks like it's not blown. I get that I'm still under warranty but come on maaan. To add to that, there's like 5 recalls out for it and dealership will likely charge my ass for a diagnostic that could run from 150-450$.

Has anyone had issues with their new mmi? I'm new to the brand

Why would a diagnostic charge apply if under warranty?

That was my question to them when I had another issue come up before. Apparently, that's the policy. Not sure if all dealerships do this, but if they pull out an obd scanner, they're gonna charge me. Not their exact words.

Yikes. I would find a new dealer. Never heard or seen that before.

Yeah find a new dealer. If under warranty everything is covered. I don’t see how your problem isn’t unless you modified something to cause it.

It looks like allot of dealerships are being very difficult...or at least there service departments!

File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Also contact Audi USA Corporate offices and complain.

You spend tons on a car and the service sucks...No!

If your car is still under the original warranty there is not a diagnostic charge. They are just poo poo-ing you off lol. Ask to speak to the service manager.
