2011 TTS Timing Belt replacement issue

I replaced the timing belt, water pump, idlers and belt tensioner on my wifes 2011 Audi TTS. The car runs great but keeps throwing a code. According to VCDS this is the code.

p0016 - bank 1: cmp sensor (g40) / engine speed sensor (g28): incorrect correlation address 7e9: no fault code found.

Assuming that this means the belt is off by one tooth? Is there a way to adjust this timing without pulling the belt. According to VCDS the spec for KW is 28 degrees and the actual jumps between 27.5/28.0 at idle and 26.5/28.0 at partial throttle. Other than this the vehicle runs great.

If I have to move the belt one tooth do these values determine which way it is off? Would I have to tear it all down again or can this just be done by removing the top belt cover, loosening the tensioner, pull belt off of cam sprocket and move it sprocket one tooth and reverse disassembly?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

You may get better advice in the B7 forum for your engine. Mention your engine code (e.g. CDMA, BWA, etc.) helps people help you.
