I have read alot of threads and still need some help.

My issue started with the P0513 immobilizer error, also 00474.
Car start and immediately shuts off.
I inserted new battery in the keyfob, resynced fob and car responds to fob buttons.
I disconnected the car battery cable and jumpered together for 30 minutes.
SAFE light now appeared, I dont believe that was on before yet not 100%.
Completed the sequence of key on, hold unlock 10 seconds, repeat 5 times.
This will remove the SAFE light and the car starts and stays running.
Turn off and restart, stays running again yet the SAFE light comes on after a second, as well as the emergency flashers.
Turn off and restart and back to SAFE light and dies right after starting.
I can repeat the 'sequence' and get the car to start and stay running again, sometimes without the flashers going.
Then on restart back to SAFE and dies....rinse repeat

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Another observation: My son can start the car no problem, yet the shutdown issue always happens when I start it.
Since he is away at school now, I had my wife try this norning and dang if it didnt work for her.
Had her start it several times.
I jumped in and it started for me
I then noticed she inserted the key 180 form the way I do.
After some validation it appears the Safe mode ony happens with a particular roation of the key insertion.

Does this make any sense? Possibly replace the keyfob shell or more likley the receiving ring?

OK now I realize the issue only occurs when the fob is flipped at 90 degree angle, ugh
    works inserted either way....

Wierd; maybe the battery connection is loose so it disconnects depending on the key/fob angle you use. Open the fob up and gently bend the connectors for a tighter fit.
