No camera view/ACC issues

Hey everybody,

This seems to be a frequent issue so I'm hoping to get some help with this.

I had a persistent "Active lane assist currently unavailable, no camera view" which come with the "ACC and braking guard unavailable" messages. Wasn't sure if it's the camera failing or bad cable as the VCDS is pretty vague, so I bought a used camera hoping that a replacement would fix the problem. However, when I hooked it up the dash message would flash back and forth, like it's reading the camera but then losing the connection. I let it flash for a little bit hoping this is one of those things that would resolve itself after a few miles. Eventually it stopped flashing leaving only the ACC message in the dash, indicating it may be finally registering the "new" camera. When I press the button for the side assist guide lines in the HUD I would get "Audi side assist unavailable, system fault". At that point I thought maybe I just need to get it calibrated and I would be good to go.

Alas, the next day when I started the car, the dash started flashing again, eventually changing to a persistent error message. Every now and then it would flash and beep again.

High mileage car with varying voltages in a variety of faults. How's your battery condition?

Battery tested fine, but I admit it is on the older side. I'll double check it, although my original camera failed almost a year ago and I'm just getting around to it. Scans from back then didn't give me any voltage errors or faults.

Could be a variety of things but it appears that the camera has typically been the culprit more often than not with this issue of ACC unavailable that many of us have experienced. I have the error and my first attempt with a used camera did not work as my dealership tech said the camera software was a different version that my 2012 A7 wouldn't take.
I've since purchased another camera (with an older build date/software code) that we will be trying again in the next couple of weeks when i take it in for an oil change.
I know others here have had success with used cameras so i'm hopeful..

Battery tested fine

I'm not the expert, but there is a difference between testing for ability to start the car versus testing for ability to hold a steady voltage. There are many AZ threads where the OP's older but still cranking battery was the culprit.
