    Charge temps on stock s4

I’ve been watching my stock intake temp for the last few days. In 35 degree ambient temps my intake temps are about 50 degrees and around 100 degrees on charge cooler temp. About 3-5 degrees difference between the two banks. On wot 30 to 110mph temps are at 140f. This seems really high for a stock car. Should I be looking into bleeding the intercoolers or do these temps seem normal. If the intercooler pump had failed would I get an engine light? Thanks

Yeah sound like air trap, although if you have stock HX is hard say if the fins are beat . Friends stage1 A6 was doing half that temp rise on WOT pulls.

you shouldnt be able to ''really'' measure IAT as we dont have an official sensor for that.

if your pump failed yes you would get a CEL.
you can tell if its on with the car off, open the door and you should here a faint buzzing noise coming from the d/s tire fender area.

i dont think your temps are THAT off...

be careful cracking the bleed screws so you dont snap them.

Sensors listed are charge air temp cooler bank 1 and 2. Then intake air temperature separate. The intake air temp cools to near ambient on wot. The two charge air temps rise on wot. This is using “car scanner” obd2 app on IPhone. Used an android with torque and it reads the same sensors. Are there others I should be looking at? Coolant temperatures stick at 205 to 212. Oil temps around 190 to 215 depending on how hard I run it.

what app are you using? torque doesnt read each bank afaik. it only gives you a combo avg of both.

you arent reading something correctly because theirs NO WAY our cooling will put us near ambient at wot.
can you take a screen shot of what sensors your monitoring.

There is intake temp and then there is bank 1 and 2 charge air cooler temps. Intake temp goes near ambient on wot throttle runs. I assume this is pre supercharger. charge air temps go up. This has to be after supercharger. I’ll take a screenshot tonight. I’m measuring three different temps. Im using car scanner app on iPhone.

installing it now, gonna go see what it pulls up

EDIT-- cant get this app to connect to my phone. will report back.

EDIT2-- got it to work, it does! show cact for each bank. That alone I feel makes it worth more than torque pro
