    Shift slow on cold start

This may be an obvious answer for some, but I am just curious if this is similar to others

Current perf mods - 3.0t GIAC tune, IE TCU tune, IE Intake, AWE touring exhaust, CTS turbo downpipes

When cold, do these tunes automatically slow how quickly the transmission changes gears? When i start the car and begin moving a minute later (temp meter has not moved, these cars take a while before they warm up), it takes a while to shift and is quite slow until it is warmed up.

Example: I start the car, let it run for a minute, then begin driving and using the paddle shifters, going from first to second is really delayed or lagging. When the car is warmed up, its very quick...or on a pull, it shifts within nano-seconds.

I am assuming (cant emphasize the assuming enough), that these tunes have a calibration to not change gears quickly when everything is cold or not up to temp. Is this true?

Relatively new to this platform (first winter with a b8.5 3.0t and tune), so i am curious.

    Thanks!

Same, and I've had very similar behavior before I changed fluid once, before my TCU tune (034), after the TCU tune revision (also 034), and after a 2nd drain/fill.

I've found that if you actually give it some throttle angle? Not enough to really do anything but basically not just nearly-idling to the gear change, it acts more "normal." But after 30-60s of driving, max, it's shifting normally in any mode.

Safety in numbers, it appears :)
