IE's advanced Stage 3 and Stage 3 Plus ECU Tunes for the Audi B9 S4, S5, & SQ5 are now available for the TTE710, TTE810, and Pure750 hybrid turbos! These new calibrations produce up to a record-smashing 739HP & 710 ft-lbs of torque on stock engine internals! Enjoy supercar power with minimal turbo lag, massive power band, and incredible transient response. Ready to experience true racecar power without compromising reliability? Please continue reading to learn about our innovative and advanced hybrid turbo calibrations for the B9 3.0T engines.

IE Stage 3 tunes are offered in 3 levels of different fueling upgrades for an easy upgrade path:

    Stage 3: Stock fueling hardware
Stage 3 is the easiest upgrade into hybrid turbo power and requires no additional upgrades over Stage 2 hardware other than the turbo of your choice. Includes 91, 93, and 104 octanes.

Stage 3 HPFP: Upgraded fuel pump & MAP sensors
Stage 3 HPFP utilizes an upgraded HPFP and 4 Bar MAP sensors to safely deliver more fuel for added boost and engine power on pump gas. Includes 91, 93, and 104 octanes.

Stage 3 Plus: Upgraded HPFP, MAP sensors, & injectors
Stage 3 Plus is the maximum power from the hybrid turbos on any octane and unlocks the ability to run an E70 ethanol blend for the highest performance number possible. Stage 3 Plus requires an upgraded HPFP, 4 Bar MAP sensors, and OEM RS6 injectors (part number: 06M906036AD). Includes 91, 93, 104, and E70 octanes.

All stage 3 variations require upgraded intake, turbo inlet (with hybrid compatible adapter or bolt flange), downpipe, and intercooler. Visit the product page for IE part number recommendations on all required hardware.

IE Stage 3 TCU: Hybrid turbo transmission tune
IE Stage 3 and Stage ECU tunes far exceed the factory-set transmission torque limit and require a complete matching transmission control unit (TCU) calibration. IE's matching Stage 3 TCU tune fully harmonizes the complete drivetrain for the hybrid turbo characteristics with optimized shift points, further increased RPM limits, faster shift speed, user-selectable launch control, new drive mapping, and more. IE Stage 3 transmission tune is a free update for existing IE Stage 2 TCU tune owners.

    MAX PERFORMANCE NUMBERS

    Stage 3 TTE710 (93 octane): 557HP / 565ft-lbs

    RECORD RESULTS
IE has a long history of obsessively pushing the envelope of power on Audi's popular S platforms. We have cemented ourselves as software and hardware performance leaders with numerous B9 3.0T Stage 3 track record success. Our Stage 3 Plus TTE710 development car is the first B9 in the 9-second quarter mile and still holds the overall B9 1/4th mile record with a 9.8-second quarter-mile at 140MPH. The world's fastest customer-owned and second faster quarter mile B9 S4 is currently a 10.08 set by Vancity Audi powered with his IE Stage 3 Plus TTE710. Most recently, the new B9 SQ5 1/4th mile record was set by David Musiyenko with an incredible 10.17 at 133.37MPH in his IE Stage 3 Plus TTE810 SUV! IE DIFFERENCE: ADVANCED DEVELOPMENT

To properly configure the ECU, IE's engineers installed various additional sensors and probes throughout the engine to record critical data that is unavailable via the factory equipment. This is an expensive and tedious process; however, the information gathered is priceless when calibrating the ECU for the new hardware specifications. The added sensors record cylinder pressures, EGT, exhaust pressure, mass airflow, and more for a high-resolution log of important turbo and engine operating parameters.

    MAPPING STARTEGY

The advanced software development strategies provide the confidence to responsibly build a calibration suite for peak power output without relying on risky modeled information or guesses for engine and drivetrain safety. Hundreds of maps have been defined and calibrated from a ground-up approach to create a fully rounded software suite designed to deliver professional motorsport quality performance while improving everyday driving characteristics beyond factory programming. The result is more than adjusted stock tune mapping and delivers a true large turbo engine management system completely realized within the factory ECU.

    CATERED TUNE VERIFICATION

IE Stage 3 is an advanced ECU calibration that delivers BIG power numbers, taking a responsible tuning approach; every Stage 3 or Stage 3 Plus purchase includes and requires a catered introduction with an IE calibrator. During this quick process, your existing or new hardware setup will be verified to ensure proper compatibility before flashing the file. Once the tune is applied, our calibration team will walk you through an easy logging process. Your engine data will be obsessively reviewed and confirmed for proper operation and safety parameters. Prepare for a truly exhilarating driving experience knowing IE has your back.

Stage 3 files will not appear on your IE POWERlink for flashing until the verification process is started. To begin, simply contact [email protected] after purchase.

I remember the thread of haters when I got my Pure 750... Its an amazing turbo, and I dont regret going with Pure, or IE one bit! Both have been absolutely fantastic to work with!

Anyone on the fence about going hybrid, with the Pure setups, its now much more affordable to do so. On only 91/93 octane, they pull soooo much harder than the stock turbo above 75 mph, but Ethanol really makes these cars shine. Ive proven through my setup that you dont need a ton of mods to make power with these cars, just the basic downpipe, intercooler, intake and fuel setups make stupid power.

How's the lag on the 750 compared to stock? I know people don't care too much for it, But i do like instant boost as I like to canyon carve rather than 1/4 mile stuff. Good around town?

The stock turbo feels borderline naturally aspirated once you’re moving, this one takes literally about a second to catch up. I’ve actually received some requests for rolling videos to see lag, so if I get time I will take a few. Once you’re used to it, you don’t notice, but you definitely need to build boost from a dig.

Here are some low speed videos so you can see how fast it gets into boost. The throttle is not pre loaded at all and I came fully off before going WOT. P3 gauge shows boost.

Awesome! Thank you for the vids. I'm trying to find that perfect place where boost comes near stock RPMs and gives me some more up top. I was hoping one of these tuners would dive into the TTE510, but there's no wow factor in the numbers for them. Such a shame. BTW, I sold you that Downpipe. Glad it's working well for you

prob a dumb question but here goes...if i decide to "jump in" with a Stage 2 ECU tune with IE and then get a hybrid turbo at some point in the future, would i pay only an upgrade fee? or would i have to pay a whole new tune fee?

You just pay the difference in tune costs. So essentially just an upgrade fee.

Yup, you simply just pay the difference in tune cost. You can do so right through our cable, and it takes only a couple of minutes. There is no upcharge or fee, so if for example, Stage 1 was 500 and Stage 2 was 600 the upgrade cost would be 100.

Depends on which intake. I’m running the carbnlab and they have a specific hybrid turbo adapter for their intake.

Yes, the Pure750 inlet is larger than stock but a little smaller than the TTE turbos. We are machining them for our turbo inlet, but they are not ready as of yet. In the meantime, we are telling customers to install it with the stock turbo adapter (which is included with our inlet), which leaves it with a small overlap but is much better for flow than having a hard edge from using a TTE one. When the Pure750 adapter is done it will be easy to swap it out.
