    new RS6

So I finally purchased a new (to me) RS6.

I need to replace some of the switches inside. One of which is the Mirror switch.
Looking online I am having a hard time finding the correct one. I believe it is a 3 position switch, but all the ones online have "clear symbols".
Is this normal? or does someone have a link to the correct switch?

Also after digging deeper into it, I noticed that it is not stock. Straight pipe from downpipes back, MTM badge (I am assuming Tuned).
Does anyone recognize this car? I purchased it in Ohio.

Hey there, congrats on the new to you RS6 and welcome to the world of NLA parts for it. i deal with that on mine all the time. You are better off looking for used OEM parts most of the time then new re-pops but sometime you luck out with good parts. we have some good sellers here in the classified.

Another great site for you to look at is RS6.com which i believe i have seen your car there before, but i could be wrong. A few owners have put those wheels on them before.

as far as the mirror switch on the center console, there is marking on them, and the top of the switch is the white line to define center.

If it's wearing the MTM badge i hope it is tuned, but the only way to verify that is through scan or contacting the tuner themselves i believe.

Lastly, i will dig into my parts bin and see if i have one of those switches for you, i will let you know!

Looks like there was a previous thread about this vehicle - Doesn't seem like it has much info

It also looks like it was sold out of Skokie about 5 years ago with 132K on the clock

    Congrats on the new car!

The cheap mirror switches available on eBay don't include the top part that is for mirror turn in, but will work for adjusting the mirrors. I went out of my way to get a good used mirror switch with the center turn and mine doesn't even work.

Thanks, Yeah Mugello blue. It does have a small leak of sorts. I am thinking it is power steering fluid but havn't tracked down where yet.
How difficult is it to do a steering pump or rack on these cars?

Congrats on the car. I actually needed the same switch for my S6 and found one on eBay that was little beat up. I occasionally do some scale modeling so I was able to paint the worn off bits with a standard (non gloss) black and finish with a matte clear coat. Looks 98% like the original soft touch plastic.

Start with checking the powersteering cooler lines at the bumper driver side. Those lines like to leak. My RS6 was leaking a lot. Ended up double clamping both supply and return to the cooler and it solved my PS leak.

After getting the car into the shop, it looks like it is the power steering pump. But the lines are all pretty worn/bloated as well.
