    Floor Jack stands question

I live in an area that sees all four seasons so I change out my wheels and tires twice a year.

I try to avoid the dealer so I got to my detail shop and use 2 floor jacks at the mounting points did change the wheels and tires. Never had an issue doing this.

But is it bad for the suspension/frame if the vehicle to use floor jacks twice a year to change wheels and tires or is a lift much preferred?

Sorry for the newbie question but just trying to see if there are any issues regularly using floor jacks.

    Thanks!

As long as you're lifting from the seam welds, I think it's an unlimited number of lifts. I have no reason other than I've never heard of such a thing.

I'm sure track people change their tire/wheel setup and do brake maintenance more often...

I tend to use the jack pad locations when lifting. The pinch welds are fine but be cautions and don't fold them over.

They're meant to support the car of course, if you're worried you could always use pinch weld blocks. The Quickjack company makes some, I use them often and the bottom of my car looks brand new still.

You jack it properly it should never cause an issue. If you wrench on your cars I'd recommend investing in a quickjack I love that solution as it's easy to store and makes things like rotating tires a snap and super safe.
