Intake options for a Black Friday savings ... which to pick !

So I have been watching the intake options this week waiting for Black Friday deals and it seems those that are offering have made their deals public now. Here is what I see :

ARM $394 on sale for $350.66 (with optional heatshield)
ECS $539 on sale for $389 (includes heat shield)
CTS $417 on sale for $354 (approx as I am in Canada and am converting to US for comparison sake) (no heat shield option)
SRM $895 (no apparent sale or promotions available) (no heat shield option)
Roc Euro $528 (no apparent sale or promotions available) (includes heat shield)

So given these choices it looks like its ARM or ECS as I dont trust an option without a heat shield and SRM is too pricey.

Thoughts ?

I have the ECS and it fits perfectly, sounds great and the company claims gains.... (didnt get it for that price!!)


I have a stock oem rs7 airbox, connector, bridge and accordions that I'd like to unload as this is a keeper for me (no warranty!!lol)

Do you guys notice a significantly louder turbo spool/turbo noise with the rs7 inlets on top of the intakes? Or is the turbo sound levels the same as w/oem inlets and the intakes are the real driving sound factor?

the rs7 inlets/airbox give a slight sound increase, but the open element intakes are what really make it scream...

You should check again, I just went for it by itself at the price it is at today (no inlets yet, that will be next). Doesn't ship until January but for 34% off, I'll wait.

Im still waiting on parts that ship within "10 Days of Order".....from September 23....next estimated ship date of May 11, 2023.

Yeah, the only thing I grab from ECS is ECS Products as I've been bitten by that in the past when I ordered a set of OEM wipers that were not delivered two months later.

Sadly I bought before they made any mention of backordered parts. I called them and they bumped me to priority shipping, reduced the price to the new sale price and included a "swag bag" so I give them points for trying. Not much to do now but wait, at this sale price there arent any other options now.

The wait for 4.0t parts is normal. People used to wait months for SRM inlets when they first came out. I understand why ECS would make their initial production run smaller, gauging interest at first, but they’ll need to figure out production quickly with the demand of their new release
