P0337 Crankshaft position sensor code after test pipes install - help?

    Hello,

I took my car to the shop to get the CAP test pipes installed on my 2012 A6 3.0t. I went to pick the car up, and once I got in it to drive away it took a few seconds to crank up and threw a P0337 code. I cleared it and restarted, but the code came back. The shop put it up on the lift and looked at the crankshaft position sensor wire, expecting it to be uplugged or cut, but it looks to be fine.

I'm wondering if anyone has run into a similar issue? They did lower the transmission a bit to get the old cats out, could there be anything that got crimped/pinched/whatever while the install was being done?

Could it be that coincidence would have it that the crankshaft position sensor itself would fail right at the moment that the car is in the shop?

    Thanks in advance

Could be a pinched wire, maybe a pin was pulled out slightly due to tension on the harness, could be a complete coincidence, maybe some debris or liquid got inside of the connector. You wont really know unless it gets diagnosed, the "good" thing is that the fault comes back right away. I would have them figure it out since it wasn't happening before they worked on it.
