The problem is that it will look out of place with the rest of the trim in piano black. I know you can get an Alcantrara covered center console and this may be the way to go as it will match the door trim. Or get your center console trim covered with paint protection film. Likely even cheaper than a new piece.

It was likely satin paint protection film. There is no matte finish available unless you go for the basic plastic that's found on the base model A5.

Like this one...the plastic is super cheap feeling.

Only the parts where the aluminum trim appears in the picture above.. The plastic on the left side of center console itself is piano black
