RS6 Avant RS Sport Seats- Head Cushion / Pillow Solutions?

just took delivery of a 23 rs6 avant in ultra metallic blue, black optic pkg, etc. Absolutely love the car and have been stalking the RS6 Avant since launch. I wanted an individual order to get the comfort seats but never pulled the trigger. Dealer had a duplicate order on the lot and I snagged it. My only complaint is the lack of a headrest on the RS sport seats. When I drive it around town, its fine but on longer journeys, I would like to sit back more in the seat.

Can anyone recommend an aftermarket heat rest pillow that could sling over the seat? The prob is some of what I see looks cheesy and I want to get something that matches the quality of the car. I have the black leather with red stitching on the seats. Any suggestions appreciated- would also entertain a custom option to make two of them...

This response won’t answer your question (as I don’t have an answer) but I concur with you: I love the sport seats but I hate the fact that there is no adjustable head rest! The fixed head rests are set too far back for me, so when I want to put my head back and use them, I end up leaning back farther than I would like and it’s uncomfortable. I really wish I could adjust the head rest. Oh well.

I'm quite disappointed in the standard sports seats. We had a 2021 A6 Allroad with the upgraded seats. Those seats were far more comfortable than the sport seats in the RS6. Plus, in addition to the adjustable headrests (a standard item in cars since, hell, at least the 70s, right?), the upgraded seats are more adjustable with side bolsters on the seat and back. Not to mention power thigh extender that adjusts automatically like the other seat positions. Also, the upgraded seats have extended heat and cooling areas. There is massage functionality on both front seats. Lastly, the passenger seat has memory function, including easy entry where the seat goes back when entering and exiting the car. It's just really disappointing that the top of the A6 line, an RS car, has such stripped down seats. I've had the car for several months now and I still can't find a seat position that is comfortable. I'm so disappointed that I've half assed considered looking into swapping out the seats for the upgraded versions. I know without even looking into it that the cost would be ridiculous, assuming it's just a seat swap, which it won't be, since there would need to be coding changes, etc.

When I had ordered an RS6, the sales manager called me up and dissuaded me from choosing the upgraded seats! He argued that people would be looking for the diamond stitched and RS logo'd seats should I ever want to sell it. I blindly went along with his suggestions, too. Not realizing all that I'd be giving up seat-wise. The car I ended up getting wasn't the one I'd ordered, though. I found it on a lot back east. I'd gotten tired of waiting for the one I'd ordered as delay after delay after delay came from Audi. However, I specifically avoided cars that had the upgraded seats thanks to the sales manager's recommendation. Yes, I should've looked into it. Still, Audi should never have made this the default seat options.

One more data point, our 2019 RS5 has better seats than our 2022 RS6! Passenger side memory? Check. both seats w/massage (even though we never use it)? Check. Passenger seat seat and side bolster power adjustments? Check. Passenger side memory? Check. RS logo? Check. Diamond stitching? Check. The only things "missing" are power thigh support and ventilation. Oh, no headrest adjustability.

Apologies for the rant and pseudo thread highjack...anyone want to trade for RS6 front seats?

PS, don't get me wrong, I love just about everything else about the RS6. It's a fantastic vehicle. However, my enjoyment is a bit tarnished because of the seat situation...

i wish the upgraded seats looked as good as the standard ones. i would have def paid for the upgrade if that was the case, but to me at least they are most certainly a situation of a lot more function but also less form
