Squeak sound when boosting at low engine temp.

Hi there, I have a slight squeak sound coming from the engine bay when car starts to hit boost. Always happens until car is up to temp and the oil pressure has raised. Is this my turbo crying in pain from lack of oil? It's a brand new gt2871r eliminator with a restrictor on the feed line and I'm running nulon 5w-40 full synthetic oil. Car is a 1.8t 180hp. I let the car warm up for 5 minutes or more every time before driving but it still does it. Should I go back to the stock grade oil for the turbos sake? I chose 5w-40 because the engine has 230,000km on it.

5w-40 is the correct weight of oil. Audi specs 5W-30 or 5W-40. 5W-40 being the better option, except in very cold ambient temperatures, in my opinion.

Are you certain the squeak is not from the accessory belt?
What do you have for a diverter valve? An OEM diaphragm style valve can make some noise under boost when the diaphragm is torn.
Maybe you can provide us a video clip of it making the noise and we can provide more helps.

I’ve been using 0w-40 for like 6 years should I switch?

No. LOL - Please do not start an oil debate here. Nobody has time for that.

It's actually the specification that matters, not the weight listed on the bottle. "VW 502.00" is the specification.

Possible viscosity classes for VW 502.00 are SAE 0w30, SAE 5w30, SAE 10w30, SAE 0w40, SAE 5w40 and SAE 10w40.

It could be a belt actually because I seen rubbery debris on the plastic cover beside the power steering reservoir. My mechanic may have over tightened my water pump belt. I have a brand new GFB diverter valve. I figured that oil would be best and I'm in Australia where it's hot.
