Background on the car:
I purchased the car from a fellow forum member in September of 2021. I was originally hunting for a higher mileage B8.5 to drive in the winter when I stumbled upon this car. Given its condition, mileage, rarity, and color, I could not pass it up. It came to me in excellent condition with impeccable maintenance records. It was in such amazing condition, in fact, I completely rethought my intended use of the car and picked up an W211 E-Class for winter duty instead.
Under my ownership, the car never saw rain, let alone snow, and was garaged year-round.
Very soon after I got the car, I decided to upgrade to APR stage 2/dual pulley software using APRs upper pulley and 034s lower 179mm pulley. I went with 034s smaller lower pulley to achieve a more conservative pulley ratio of 3.1. I also installed APR CPS front cooler system for more consistent performance and lower temps. A few years back, I had a stage 2 B8.5 S4 and am well versed in the incredible torque (and heat) these motors can produce. With this in mind, I drove the car accordingly. I never launched the car, nor did I ever slam through the gears. I used the hp & torque almost exclusively for in gear acceleration and passing power. I drove my B8.5 S4 in the same way for over 2+ years and never had any clutch or cat issues. Clutch is perfect with great feel and zero slippage. No cat issues or codes ever. According to APR, the car should be producing 450+ HP, and it feels it. The power is incredibly linear and very consistent. Like my previous B8.5, I had zero issues with this car. It has been dead reliable for me.
The prior owner had the car ceramic coated and the paint still shines and sheets water to this day. I performed maintenance washes as needed using high quality products and the 2 bucket (really 3 bucket in my case) wash method. The interior looks as if it were barely sat in. I would rate both the interior and exterior a 9.5 out of 10 with very few imperfections to be found.
I am now at a point in my life where I have a few cars to play with, and so I drive this car very little, which is a shame. Rather than see it sit in my garage unused, I am seeing it off to the next lucky owner.
I have a stack of maintenance records, receipts, and 2 sets of keys which I will pass on to the buyer. The car needs nothing at this point other than a new owner.
I have to imagine this is one of the nicest, low-mileage B8.5s currently on sale. It has all the desirable factory options, all the popular mods for this platform, and is in stunning condition.
