In my most recent dealer service they stated my drive belt needed replacement at 32k miles, this car is a 2014 RS7. The cost was ~$400..

Does Audi replace the idler pulley and belt tensioner? FCP Euro has a kit for $402 which has all the parts, I'd assume Audi would was $800+ if they replaced all those. I'm assuming Audi is doing a belt plus labor for the price I was initially quoted.

Just seeing what everyone else here has done for this service.

    Thanks!

The belt should not be shot at 32k BUT if it’s the original belt then it’s 8 years old which is why they want you to change it. Even at that ,$400 is pretty steep of a price. You can get it done at an indie shop for probably 1/2 that. And your idler pulley is probably perfectly fine. On my 12 A7 the pulley is original at 224,000 miles
